Being a photographer at wedding is exhausting work. You always have to make sure you are at the right place and the right time to get the photos.

I just finished taking the photos at my friend’s sister wedding. Congraduations to Suzanne and Young (Chang-Han). It was challening as it was taken on a small boat there were constant backlighting issues as we were in a covered area with 360′ Windows on the outside. It got better as the sun set. I hope they enjoy the photos.

Matteo’s Gelato & Bistro

August 20, 2006 8:18 pm

I was introduced to this wonderful establishment by my friend Rob Tang. I would say Matteo’s Gelato & Bistro has the BEST Gelato in the GVRD. I wins hands down when compared to Mondo, Mario’s and LaCasa and the best part is that Matteo’s Gelato is the cheapest of the place listed. The extremely generous servings at Matteo’s Gelato equates their single scoop being equivalent to a medium/large at the other places.

My recommendation is to have your gelato served in a cone instead of a cup. You get that little extra each time and you get a wonderful waffle cone.

You can find Matteo’s Gelato at:

Car Shows

8:05 pm

Just got back from two car shows. As usual Great Canadian Volkswagen Show 2006 was great. The only thing that they need is some new cars / content though. The same cars are being present this year. The Watercooled section seems to get smaller and smaller each year, but when you look at the work people put into restoring their cars the Air cooled cars win hands down.

After the GCVW show we decided to go take a look at the Port Coquitlam Classic Car Show. The turnout was good. This show is mainly about old classic muscle cars. There were some really good cars being displayed. There were also some hack jobs. Saw two cars with really cool paint at the show. The one I liked the best is the “moving fire” paint job. The guy who does this painting technique was featured on TLC show Rides.

Momentum GCVW Preshow

2:00 am

Congratulations and Thanks to Shawn Lang for holding another great event.   I had a chance to see my old car today.  It’s FOR SALE again.  At the rate it’s being sold it has been around the block.   The car is just too difficult to drive as a daily driver, the ride is not defined.  I thought I would have more feelings toward the car when I saw it, but there is nothing.  I’m really glad that I sold the car.  It does look good with the wheels on the car right now, and it is definately a lot cleaned up.

Burnt Out

August 17, 2006 10:49 am

As the days pass into weeks and weeks into months I am start to feel very burnt out.   I went on two trips this year trying to relax but I always ended up doing work where ever I went.  Anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of the Burnt Out feeling?

To make things worse I am quite stressed about the collapse of the pet business I was involved in for the last year.  It took up quite a bit of my time and nothing equated out of the entire situation except more issues, including possible lawsuits.

But with new projects on the horizon hopefully things will get better soon :)

Witness Needed

August 15, 2006 12:13 am

As most of my friends know I was involved in a MVA on May 12, 2006 around ~6:15-6:20PM at the intersection of East 49th Avenue and Killarney. ICBC has screwed me and I need a witness to help rectify me of any wrong doing.

I have posted up a Witness Needed sign about a month ago and got no response and the sign has now been taken down. I spent some time today to put up a new one. If you were at the scene and have witnessed the acccident or know of anyone who has please let me know or contact my insurance adjustor directly at 604-520-8291

Air Travel Post 9/11

August 14, 2006 4:24 pm

Air travel post 9/11 has really become a pain in the ass. I often have to take trips down to LA for work and each time I go to the airport it’s a very unpleasent. What ever happened to Innocent until proven Guilty? I feel like the new model of air travel is Guilty until proven innocent. The airport security treats with no respect at all. All the screening is resulting in having to be at the airport hours earlier. On one with my trips back from LAX I showed up at the airport three hours early and barely made it into the terminal in time to catch my plane back to Vancouver.

I think society is too paranoid about bad things that *MAY* happen. I was watching CNN early this morning and the entire one hour morning broadcast was about “Risk of Terrorism”. Of course it was another one of CNN brain washing tactics but the News anchor constantly tried to bend what people were saying into that EVERYONE was afraid. I do not think this helps with making people feel safe at all. If everyone is feeling afraid to leave home then the terrorists have won. Which is not the message we want to convey.
Well I think I might have to go down to LA next month. I’m worried if I will be allowed to bring my medications down to the US now. The restriction of what can be brought on to an airplane is even larger now.

With the way it’s going, I think one day you won’t be able to bring anything onto a plane. You will have to board the plane naked after getting a probe. When will this ever end?
